Plan of Action 2023
1. Service to the International Networks for Substantive Resources Exchange – Families International, Quarterly Bulletin of the Vienna NGO Committee on the Family
Expanding the substantive knowledge resources and information exchange value of the publication in our worldwide networks of participants through:
- Special focuses on family issues, knowledge resources, and policies for families
- Publication of presentations at international forums organized by the committee
- Documents and information from the United Nations relevant to families and family-oriented organizations
- Knowledge resource documents and information from the United Nations Focal Point on the Family
- Knowledge resource documents and information from the Vienna NGO Committee on the Family
- Family-related civil society organizations’ knowledge resource documents and information
- Recent and forthcoming events
- Publications of the four issues of the quarterly bulletin ‘Families International’
- Introduction of family-oriented organizations
2. Websites of the Committee
Maintenance and updating of the four websites of the committee.
3. Full Committee Meetings
Organization of two full committee meetings at the Vienna International Centre of the United Nations, including the organization of two international forums.
4. Cooperation with the United Nations
Submission of a yearly statement to the United Nations Commission for Social Development; the observance of the International Day of Families 2023; cooperation with the United Nations Focal Point on the Family within the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) in New York.
5. Projects of the Committee
- Communication through the website and digital networks of the committee.
- Organization of two international forums within two full committee meetings.
- Online publication of four issues of the quarterly bulletin ‘Families International.’
- Preparation of a draft statement for signature by member organizations and submission to the 62nd United Nations Commission for Social Development in 2024.
